Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Camlune app for macOS and the camlune.com website. By downloading or using Camlune you agree to them. Camlune is licensed to you through the Mac App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies. If these terms conflict with the Standard EULA, these terms apply to the extent permitted.
1. The app
Camlune provides real-time video effects and a virtual camera for use with other applications on your Mac. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Camlune on Apple-branded Macs that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
2. Free version and Camlune Pro
- The free version includes all features with a per-session time limit on effects and a watermark on the output.
- Camlune Pro is an auto-renewable monthly subscription that removes the time limit and watermark.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store under Account Settings → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We may change prices in the future; Apple will notify you in advance, and where required, ask for your consent.
3. Acceptable use
You're responsible for how you use Camlune and the video you share. Don't use Camlune to impersonate another person, to deceive others in a way that causes harm, for fraud, or in violation of any law or the terms of the video services you use. Some services and workplaces have rules about video filters — please follow them.
4. Your content
Your video and images stay yours. Camlune processes them locally on your Mac and we don't receive them (see our Privacy Policy).
5. Intellectual property
Camlune, its looks, visual design, logos and the Camlune name are owned by us and protected by law. Except for the license above, no rights are granted. Don't reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app except as the law expressly allows.
6. Third-party apps and services
Camlune works alongside apps made by others (such as video-conferencing and streaming software). We don't control those apps and aren't responsible for them. Product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
7. Disclaimers
Camlune is provided "as is" and "as available." Effects are approximations and results vary with lighting, camera and hardware. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Camlune is limited to the amount you paid for Camlune in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms. If we make material changes we'll update the date above. You can stop using Camlune at any time by deleting it. Your license ends automatically if you breach these terms.
