Privacy Policy

The short version: Camlune processes your camera video entirely on your Mac. We don't upload, record, store, or share your video or images, we don't require an account, and the app contains no analytics or advertising trackers.
This policy explains what information the Camlune app for macOS ("Camlune", "we", "us") and the website camlune.com handle, and why.
Camera video
Camlune needs access to your camera to apply real-time effects. Each video frame is processed in your Mac's memory using Apple frameworks (such as Vision, Core Image and Metal) and passed directly to the Camlune virtual camera on the same Mac so other apps can use it.
- Video frames are never sent to us or to any third party.
- Camlune does not record or save video or photos. Frames are kept only for the fraction of a second needed to process them.
- Face and body detection used for effects and background segmentation runs on-device. We do not create, store or share face templates or biometric identifiers.
The video apps you choose to use Camlune with (for example Zoom or Google Meet) receive the processed video just as they would from any camera, and their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it.
Settings and background images
Your preferences, looks and any background image you choose are stored locally on your Mac, inside Camlune's app container. They are not uploaded. Deleting the app removes them.
Purchases
Camlune Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment and shares only what's needed to confirm your subscription status with the app on your device. We never receive your name, payment card or Apple Account details. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.
Analytics and tracking
The Camlune app contains no analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers or third-party trackers, and it does not contact our servers. If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in macOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash and usage statistics under Apple's terms.
The camlune.com website
This website is a static site. It does not use cookies, advertising or third-party analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability, retained for a limited period.
Emails you send us
If you email us — for support or to be notified at launch — we use your email address and message only to reply to you or send the notification you asked for. We don't sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Children
Camlune is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we don't collect personal data through the app, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For any email correspondence, you can request access or deletion by writing to us. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights, and you can contact us to exercise them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
